Went to the flea market today with my sister and mom. I almost bought a new-old camera today (not one of these two) but I wanted to stay within my budget. And I still have about $15 left over.
Love the capture. I still have a film slr but getting films processed now a days is so expensive I never use it. I keep it because it was a gift from my ex wife and Dad.
I have one currently and I actually just bought a brownie halkeye. I love film. Just the fact that it is so tangible and real. You watch the image appear and you when you have it right there is this magical moment and you just know. One of my favorite pictures is one that I took on a 35mm camera and developed the film myself and went into the dark room and started printing. When I took it into the light I thought: That is sexy. It was a perfectly processed picture of fishing weights. That's when I found out that I loved photography.
Project 365 is a good way to chronicle a year by taking one photo (at least) a day. Recording the day to day things that tend to slip through the cracks, along with the extraordinary events. It is a way to improve the skills of an amateur photographer like myself as well as get some use out of my new camera. Hopefully, it will teach this girl a little bit of discipline too. Fingers crossed that all goes well.
If you want to see other pictures, check out my photo stream on flickr. Feel free to comment!!! I love constructive criticism
