This weekend will be the maiden voyage of my holga camera. I'm going to Downtown Carlsbad and taking pictures of the old signs and payphones. While the two don't exactly go together, they are the things that I love. I love downtown areas. I love vintage signs that are still in use (I hope there actually are some in dt Carlsbad). I love Carlsbad. I love payphones (probably because they are going to be extinct one day). And I love film photography because you take so much more time composing the shot, getting the right settings and the final print. There is so much more effort put into it than many people put into digital. I will admit though, when it comes to digital photos I don't really have any any idea what I am doing when I am post processing. I guess I need to take a class. : )

If you can, always take the stairs. It keeps you in better shape. (You never know when you'll have to outrun the zombies).

Sometimes my friend and I will try to find the worst outfits and document it with our cell phones. This was my worst outfit. Sadly some of the outfits looked redeemably cute, but that's life.

Today I went to Downtown Riverside to celebrate my Dad's birthday.
First, we went to Logan's for lunch. The family plus my boyfriend. It was actually really nice that he was included. Then we traveled to the Star Trek Exhibition. Afterward we wandered around main street and had a little fun. Then we went home where I made dinner for everyone followed by some ice cream cake. yum.

Remodeling Target... guess they remodeled the carts too. And my car realllllllly needs a wash.
Spent the day working hard. I went to work, went to class, ran some errands, cleaned, did laundry, and generally just worked my little butt off.
