Just Another Manic Monday

manic monday, originally uploaded by emberangel.

I have a feeling everyone will have a "Manic Monday" after this long weekend we had. To me, manic Monday's always mean a desperate searching of the closet for something to wear.

Six o'clock already
I was just in the middle of a dream
I was kissin' Valentino
By a crystal blue Italian stream

But I can't be late
'Cause then I guess I just won't get paid
These are the days
When you wish your bed was already made

It's just another manic Monday
I wish it were Sunday
'Cause that's my funday
My I don't have to runday
It's just another manic Monday

Have to catch an early train
Got to be to work by nine
And if I had an air-o-plane
I still couldn't make it on time

'Cause it takes me so long
Just to figure out what I'm gonna wear
Blame it on the train
But the boss is already there

It's just another manic Monday
I wish it were Sunday
'Cause that's my funday
My I don't have to runday
It's just another manic Monday

All of the nights
Why did my lover have to pick last night
To get down
Doesn't it matter
That I have to feed the both of us
Employment's down

He tells me in his bedroom voice
C'mon honey, let's go make some noise
Time it goes so fast
When you're having fun

It's just another manic Monday
I wish it were Sunday
'Cause that's my funday
My I don't have to runday
It's just another manic Monday
I wish it was Sunday
'Cause that's my funday
It's just another manic Monday.

Power of HDR

Power lines, originally uploaded by emberangel.
This month, I executed my first HDR photo. Literally. I saw it and hated it! So I had to start all over again with a brand new set of photos. And this is what I came up with. This and another photo which I will try to add before Thanksgiving.

These power lines are really close to my house and it is one of my favorite places to be. I love to hear the buzz and crackle of electricity above me. Its energizing. I feel as if it gives me new life.

I had to be quick with these photos. I had about 20 minutes to get a wide variety of shots, because I didn't want to be stuck with something that I hated. But I really like how the light was hitting the mountains. I plan on coming back here in a few days at sunset (when these photos were taken) and try to get a new perspective. I think I will wait for the sky to have those beautiful clouds again.
